
Winny Soerianto is a PhD candidate in Toxicology and Environmental Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. Her work centers on environmental toxicants, with a particular emphasis on the respiratory effects of woodsmoke and wildfire smoke exposure.

• Investigating how wildfire smoke alters susceptibility to influenza infection and affects the efficacy of live attenuated influenza vaccines, with a focus on airway epithelial cells
• Characterizing wildfire smoke–induced airway inflammation in New York City residents following exposure to the 2024 Canadian wildfires
