Khadija Al Nabhani is an early career researcher at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) finishing her PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering. Her focus area is on air quality, more specifically atmospheric microplastics transport in the South Pacific region. Khadija has a background in Physics and Environmental Science.

Research interests:

  • Transport and deposition of microplastics in pristine islands of the South Pacific.
  • Air quality, transport of pathways of microplastics, environmental protection including marine and air.
  • The link between environmental pathways, specifically air and water bodies.
  • Marine conservation and protection of the ocean and its inhabitants.
  • Environmental law and policy making for environmental conservation.
  • Mantra: “taking small steps toward big changes for a sustainable future”.

Qualifications:

  • PhD – Civil & Environmental Engineering (Completion in 2024).
  • Master of Environmental Science & Technology.
  • Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Physics).
