Dr. Mérida-Ortega is a nutritionist who recently graduated from the Doctorate in Epidemiology at the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico. His 10 years of research experience has focused on evaluating the relationship between breast cancer and environmental factors such as metals and pesticides, using a mixture approach. He is now participating in an ambitious study aimed at evaluating the association of childhood acute leukemia with dietary and environmental factors, including pesticides measured in serum.
