Dr. RENGARAJ Selvaraj is an Associate Professor in the Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman with responsibility for teaching, research and consultancy in the field of Analytical and Applied Environmental Chemistry. Dr. Rengaraj graduated from Anna University, Madras, India with a Ph.D in Chemistry in 1999. He has 30 years of research experience in Environmental Science and Engineering, particularly in the area of Environmental Nanotechnology, wastewater treatment, water quality analysis, and solid waste management. He has published more than 85 research articles in reputed National, International Journals, and Conference Proceedings (h-index 27) and has been serving as an editorial board member of some International Journals. He has participated and presented his research works in several National and International conferences.

Dr. Rengaraj has more than 20 years of post-Ph.D research experience as Marie Curie Experienced Research Fellow, Visiting Professor, Brain Pool Scientist, Post-Doctoral Fellow, Contract Professor, and Visiting Scientist at different International Universities, United Nation University pilot program and Research Institutes at Finland, France, Oman, South Africa, South Korea and Hong Kong. Dr. Rengaraj has been elected as one of the board of directors for Pacific Basin Consortium for Environment and Health (USA). At present, he is actively involving in the area of synthesis, characterization and application of nano-structured photocatalytic materials for the removal of endocrine disruptor chemicals, toxic organics, pharmaceuticals, NOx and heavy metals from water and wastewater. Dr. Rengaraj is recipient of Best Teacher Award, Best Researcher Award and Best publication Award from Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat. Recently he has been awarded National Water Research Award from The Research Council (TRC) and Royal Diwan Court of Oman. In addition, he is Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), Member of American Chemical Society, and several International Scientific committee.
